Ship's (B)LOG

Preparing your boat for an inspection or survey;

There are very few places that will not be checked or visited during a marine inspection. Many times, a vessel will be in winter layup mode, batteries are usually disconnected or stored, safety equipment, electronics may be on board or stored at home or the cabins may be packed full of everything you can imagine from beach balls to chairs, sports gear etc. There must be a clear path for the surveyor to transit through vessel safely and efficiently. Also make sure that your bilge pumps and float switches are operating, flares are up to date, bilges are free of fluids etc.
